Oscar Grant Verdict...

"Oakland, California (CNN) -- Hundreds of rioters stormed the streets of downtown Oakland on Thursday night after a verdict in the trial of a white former police officer who fatally shot an unarmed black man, authorities said.

Johannes Mehserle was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter Thursday, a conviction that usually carries a maximum four-year sentence.

But some in Oakland expected a tougher penalty for the former police officer, and took to the streets in protest."

Involuntary Manslaughter...Really? Does this look involuntary to you?

It's really disturbing that cops can get away with these vicious acts and abuse of "power". I'm just as shocked as I was in January when I first seen the tape. If cops keep getting away with acts like this, the consequence will be beyond a riot. I dread that day as much as I dread the deaths of the Oscar Grant, Sean Bell, and many others. It's not all about black and white at this point. It's wrong and right. What's wrong is the people that we pay to protect us are harming us and don't get punished for their actions. I only hope this so called system that provides "justice" reacts before the people do. Violence doesn't solve anything, but neither does silence.
